BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Norwich University women's lacrosse team saw their five-game winning streak come to an end Saturday at Daly Field to Simmons 17-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.

Quinn Mustone (Medford, Mass.) and Allison Sturgeon (Monticello, Ind.) each scored a goal in the contest. Katie Bishop-Manning (New York, N.Y.) made 14 saves on the day, while the five different Cadets forced a turnover, and Rachel Landress (Chelmsford, Mass.) picked up a team high four ground balls.

After being held scoreless in the first half, Norwich finally got on the scoreboard when Mustone scored with 5:17 remaining in the third quarter. After a string of goals by the Sharks, the Cadets earned a free position attempt, that Sturgeon was able to score.

Norwich (7-3, 5-2 GNAC) will host Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday, Apr. 13 in a GNAC matchup at 7 pm. The Cadets next contest will come on Saturday, Apr. 16 when they are visited by the Lasers of Lasell in a 12 pm tilt for Senior Day.
