NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Norwich women's rugby team accepted a 28-0 forfeit victory over Colby-Sawyer College in National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) play, but also played three games of 7s against the Chargers, going 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Suiting up for their first game in nearly a month, the A-side saw action in the opening game, shutting out the Chargers en route to a 32-0 win.  
Assumpta Nandawula (Montpelier, Vt.) and 
Caitlin Burke (Greenwich, Conn.) provided a pair of tries each to lead the way offensively, while 
Emily Ngo (Turlock, Calif.) and 
Megan Sacripanti (Riverview, Fla.) added tries.  
Shannon Hobbs (Burlington, N.C.) closed out the scoring, posting a conversion to complete a perfect game for Norwich.
The Cadets mixed up the rest of their roster for the final two tilts, with the second game following a similar fashion to the first.  Hobbs was the star behind two tries and a conversion, and 
Carlyan Vigbedor (Centreville, Va.) contributed a try to give Norwich a 17-0 victory.
Colby-Sawyer picked up a win in the closing match, handing Norwich a 15-10 loss despite two tries from 
Ember Rousseau (St. Johnsbury, Vt.).
The forfeit victory gives the Cadets their third-straight win, extending their undefeated overall and NIRA record to 3-0.  Norwich will now look forward to their final road game of the regular season, a Saturday, Oct. 22 duel at Bowdoin in Brunswick, Maine.  Game time is slated for 11:00 a.m.
