Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – A five-goal afternoon for sophomore midfielder Grace Fitzpatrick (Falmouth, Maine) April 7 kept Norwich University's 2012 season record unblemished.
Completing a 12-goal week, Fitzpatrick tallied three scores in the first half to help stake the Maroon and Gold (6-0, 5-0 GNAC) to a 6-4 advantage at the break. She came back with two more over the final 11:30 to close up the 12-8 final.
Simmons (5-6, 4-2 GNAC) kept themselves within striking distance of their guests throughout. The Sharks tied it three times in the first half (1-1, 2-2 and 3-3) before Norwich compiled six of the game's next eight goals to stretch its lead to 9-4 early in the second half.
