BOSTON – Mollie Fitzpatrick scored five goals, and Kacey Abbriano netted four goals as the Norwich University women's lacrosse team stormed past Simmons College, 15-6, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest Sunday afternoon.

The Cadets (2-3, 2-0 GNAC) built a 7-1 halftime lead, and they never looked back en route to their second straight victory.

Chelsea Martin added three goals for the Cadets, while Danielle Del Dotto tallied a pair of markers.

Simmons (1-3, 0-2 GNAC) was led by Justine Beauchamp, who scored one goal and added one assist.

Kellie Pickel made nine saves in the first half for the Cadets, while Meghan Kennedy stopped six shots in the second stanza.

Norwich returns to action on Friday, April 2, when the Cadets travel to Standish, Maine, to take on GNAC foe St. Joseph's College (Maine). Opening draw is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
