LEWISTON, Maine - Anne Marie Vayda won a pair
of events in the pool as the Norwich University swimming and diving
team lost to both Bates and University of New England on Saturday
in a tri-meet. The Cadets fell to Bates by a score of 99-32, and
they lost to University of New England by a score of 98-22.
Vayda began her productive day by winning the 100-yard
breaststroke in a time of 1 minute, 11.08 seconds. She later
captured gold in the 200-yard individual medley (2:25.37).
Norwich returns to action on Sunday, Jan. 10, when they travel
to Waterville, Maine, to face Colby College in a dual meet.
