COLCHESTER, Vt. - Anne Marie Vayda won a pair
of events in the pool, but it was not enough as the Norwich
University women's swimming and diving team dropped a 211-62
decision to St. Michael's College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cadets fall to 1-9 on the season following the setback.
Vayda swept the breaststroke events, winning the 50-yard
discipline in a time of 33.09 seconds and taking gold in the
100-yard discipline with a clocking of 1:11.20.
Norwich will not return to action until Feb. 19-21, when the
Cadets travel to White River Junction, Vt., to compete in the
NEISDA Swimming Championships.
