WATERVILLE, Maine - The Norwich University
women's swimming and diving team won four events, but fell to Colby
College by a score of 100-58 on Sunday afternoon.
Brittany Burns had a hand in a pair of victories to lead the way
for the Cadets. Burns won the 500-yard freestyle in a clocking of 7
minutes, 2.25 seconds. She then teamed with Janice Knoop, Grace
Steinbrenner and Felicia Jones to win the 400-yard freestyle relay
(4:29.14).
Elsewhere, Anne Marie Vayda captured the 200-yard breaststoke
(2:32.38) and Molly Patterson claimed victory in the 100-yard
freestyle (1:08.03).
The Cadets will get back into action on Saturday, Jan. 16, when
they travel to Babson Park, Mass., to face Babson at 1 p.m.
