CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Norwich University
women's swimming and diving team was swept by Gordon and Elms on
Saturday afternoon. The Cadets dropped a 92-25 decision to Gordon,
and lost 68-49 to Elms.
Norwich (0-9) was led by Dana Wanjon and Anne-Marie Vayda, who
both won events in the pool. Wanjon took gold in the 50-yard
breaststroke with a clocking of 42.63 seconds. Vayda, meanwhile,
won the 100-yard butterfly event in a time of 1:17.51.
Norwich will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 31, when the
Cadets travel to Colchester, Vt., to take on St. Michael's and
Assumption.
