NEWTON, Mass. - Kathleen Hennessy scored a
game-high eight goals, and Ally Daniels netted four goals and
registered two assists as the Norwich University women's lacrosse
team defeated Lasell, 19-12, in a GNAC contest Saturday afternoon.
The win marked the sixth straight victory for the Cadets, who
improve to 6-1 (2-0 GNAC).
Hennessy, who also added one assist in the contest, registered
the most goals by a Cadet in a game this season. Allyson Allen
chipped in two goals and two assists for Norwich, while Katie
Magnus contributed two goals and one assist. Other goal scorers for
NU included Chelsea Martin (one goal, one assist), Jessica Allmer
(one goal) and Kelly Bush (one goal).
Ashley Haviland, Alyssa Nicoloro and Dawn McNulty all picked up
one assist apiece to round out the Cadets scoring.
Kellie Pickel went the distance in goal for the Cadets, turning
away 12 of the 24 shots that she faced.
Norwich returns to action on Wednesday, April 10, when the
Cadets travel to Rindge, N.H., to take on Division II foe Franklin
Pierce at 6 p.m.
