NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Natalie Hamblin won a pair of
individual events in the pool, and Victoria Amador captured gold in
the one-meter diving event, but it was not enough as the Norwich
women's swimming and diving team was swept by Gordon and Elms on
Saturday afternoon at Goodyear Pool.
Hamblin, the team's senior team captain, won the 50-yard
backstroke (34.30) and 100-yard backstroke (1:11.45) to lead the
Cadets' effort in the pool.
Amador won the first-place ribbon in the one-meter diving event
with a score of 161.60 points.
Molly Patterson, meanwhile, won the 100-yard breaststroke with a
clocking of 1:24.12.
The Cadets fall to 0-10 with the two losses.
Norwich closes out the dual meet portion of its 2007-08 slate
this Tuesday, Jan. 29, when the Cadets travel to Colchester, Vt.,
to take on St. Michael's at 4 p.m.
