Women's Swimming & Diving: Norwich Falls To SUNY Potsdam, 120-90

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Anne Vayda was a double winner in the pool, and Victoria Amador swept the two diving events as the Norwich women's swimming and diving team fell to SUNY Potsdam, 120-90, on Saturday at Goodyear Pool.

Vayda placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.25) and the 200-yard IM (2:39.79). Amador, meanwhile, swept both boards, winning on the one-meter with 124.45 points, and taking gold on the three-meter with 142.30 points.

Dana Wanjon won the 200-yard breaststroke (3:10.34), Katie Edwards touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle (6:18.08) and Christine Doudell took gold in the 100-yard butterfly (1:20.42) to round out Norwich's list of winners.

To date, two members of the NU women's swimming and diving team have qualified for the New England Championships, while another two have qualified provisionally for that event.

The Norwich women's swimming and diving team returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 10, when the Cadets host Keene State at 1 p.m.
