GNAC WEEK 2 REPORT

WINTHROP, Mass. – Norwich University men's basketball freshman forward Jaydon Cousin (Savannah, Ga.) earned his first weekly conference honor by being named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week in a release by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Cousin joins teammates Donovan Lewis Jr. (Savannah, Ga.) and Jesse Davis (Woodinville, Wash.) as other current players who have received the weekly GNAC honor.

In just 23.0 minutes per game, the first-year forward averaged 17.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in a 1-2 week which saw the Cadets earn their first win of the season. He shot 55% (22-40) from the floor, including 2-of-4 from three and was 7-of-14 from the FT line. He registered double-digit scoring in all three games, including a season-high 27 points against Colby-Sawyer on Tuesday before averaging 13.0 points per game during the team's games in the Granite City Shootout.

Cousin has been a key contributor for the Cadets in the early going this season averaging 13.7 points per game through six games leading the team in rebounding with 4.8 boards per game.

Norwich will enjoy the next week off the court for Thanksgiving before returning to the hardcourt on December 4th as it travels to New England College for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
