MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—Despite failing in its bid to collect its fifth-straight win to open the season on Saturday, the Norwich University football team found itself ranked in the top 10 for the third-straight week in the Grinold Chapter New England Division III Football Ranking claiming the final spot in the poll.

WPI (149 points) received all but one of the first place votes to remain in the top spot edging out runner-up, Western Connecticut (124 points), once again while Middlebury (113 votes) moved into the third spot in the rankings and collected the other first place vote. Endicott (108 points) and Western New England (97 votes) rounded out the top five, while Wesleyan (75 points) moved up to the number six position. UMass Dartmouth (38 points) and Massachusetts Maritime (38 points) tied for seventh in this week's poll, which was rounded out by Amherst (31 points) and Norwich.
