Volleyball - Batur Earns NEWVA recognition
NORTHFIELD, VT.– Norwich University senior middle blocker Ivana Batur (Zadar, Croatia) was placed on the New England Women's Volleyball Association's honorable mention list, released Nov. 15.
She helped lead the 16-10 Cadets to a fifth-place Great Northeast Athletic Conference finish and postseason tournament berth. Her 278 kills, .268 attack percentage, and 66 blocks topped the statistical charts for Coach Amanda Cuiffo's squad. Batur's kill and attack percentage numbers rank among the GNAC's top 10 and are second and third, respectively, on Norwich's single-season best all-time efforts.
She adds the NEWVA honor to first team all-GNAC and CoSida/Capital One academic all-District 1 awards she received earlier this month.
