Swimming and Diving - Three more top fives for NU men

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT. – Norwich University added some more strong individual efforts to its total at the 2012 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships Feb. 18.

Coach Laura Dunn's men's team kept a tight grasp on fourth in the team standings with three more top five finishes. The evening was highlighted by senior Mike Zemanek (Voorheesville, N.Y.) placing second in the 200 freestyle finals. His time of 1:45.36 was eclipsed by only Keene State's Austin Harris (1:43.94). He also led off the 800 medley relay that took fourth (7:22.58) to close the night's competition inside the Upper Valley Aquatics Center.

The remaining top five effort for the Maroon and Gold came from the 200 medley relay (1:40.96), as it took fifth. The Cadets closed the second day with 289 points.

Norwich's women's squad moved up one spot in the team standings. Due to a pair of top 25 finishes in the 800 medley (19th) and 200 medley (21st) relays, their point total increased to 40 to move past Husson.
