Beth Van Parys enters her fourth year as the head women's soccer coach at Norwich University in 2012. She is the third coach in the 28-year history of the program and holds a 32-24-4 career record with the Cadets.

During the 2011 season, Van Parys guided the Cadets to their best winning percentage since 2008 with an 11-5-3 record.

In 2010, she led the Cadets to a 13-9-0 record and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship game before falling to Lasell 1-0. NU also earned an invite to the ECAC New England Tournament, but fell 3-2 to UMass-Boston in the quarterfinals.

Six Cadets have been named to GNAC All-Conference teams under Van Parys' direction; including 2010 and 2011 first-team selection Brittany Casey, who tied for the league lead in goals and ranked third all-time in program single-season history with 22 tallies in 2010.

Van Parys arrived at Norwich after spending two seasons as an assistant women's soccer coach at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. While at Wagner, Van Parys was primarily responsible for scouting and evaluating opponents, recruiting high school athletes and training the team's goalkeepers.

Prior to her two-year stint at Wagner, Van Parys completed a one-year term as an assistant women's soccer coach at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa.

Van Parys played four years of collegiate soccer at Allegheny, where she was a twice named to the all-conference team. The four-year starting goalkeeper ranked among the school's all-time Top five in shutouts (both single season and career), goals-against average (both single season and career) and saves.

As a sophomore, Van Parys helped lead the Gators to the 2003 conference championship. She served as team captain as a senior in 2005.

Van Parys was also a four-year member of the Allegheny women's basketball team. She served as team captain during her senior season of 2005-06.

Van Parys received a bachelor's degree in Biology from Allegheny in 2006. She earned a master's degree in Adolescent Education from Wagner in 2009.
