Cross Country: Men and Women each place fifth at Vermont State Meet
COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Norwich men's and women's cross country teams each placed fifth at the Vermont State Meet hosted by St. Michael's College on Saturday.
The men were led by a 20th place finish from Nate Deer who crossed the line in 28:35. Frank Fox, Joe Rosenthal and Zach Brown crossed the line together in 25th, 26th, and 27th place. Fox's time was 29:12, while Rosenthal was 29:14 and Brown was 29:15. Then men finished with 127 points.
The women were led by a 15th place finish from Mallory Clark who crossed the line with a time of 21:56. Rachel Negri was 18th in a time of 22:07, while Samantha Haas was 27th in 23:48. The women finished with 130 points.
Middlebury claimed both of the team titles.
