Men's Tennis - Ostler named head coach
NORTHFIELD, VT. – Norwich University Director of Athletics Tony Mariano announced Tuesday, May 22, that JoLynn Ostler has been named head coach of the men's tennis program.
Ostler takes over for former head coach Kyle Dezotell who recently stepped down to concentrate on his new role as the school's compliance coordinator and continue his duties as men's soccer coach.
Ostler, already an assistant strength and conditioning coach and adjunct professor in biology and physical education at Norwich, has 20-plus years as a United States Tennis Association coaching professional. She is also a highly-seeded player in the Vermont region.
She takes over a program that has flourished in recent seasons. NU has recorded five straight .500-or-plus campaigns including a 7-4 finish in 2011-12 that saw the Cadets reach the final four of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament.
