Buck would score again just 25 seconds into the second frame to give Albertus Magnus the 3-1 lead, but Lavery, Mendoza and Fuller each tallied two goals each to spark a 6-0 run and send Norwich into halftime with a 7-3 lead.

The two teams combined for 11 goals in the third period, and the Falcons outscored the Cadets 6-2 in the first nine minutes to tie the score at 9-9. Norwich responded with three unanswered goals of their own to hold the 12-9 lead through three quarters of action.

Lavery and Mendoza would extend Norwich's lead to five goals before Buck would net his seventh goal of the afternoon on a man-up possession. McCarthy, Lavery and Bill rounded out Norwich's scoring efforts for the day, while Buck added one more to set the 17-11 final.

Norwich goaltender Mark Paradiso (Westford, Mass.) totaled two saves in 30 minutes of action to earn his first win of the season. Sophomore Ryan Fecteau (Danvers, Mass.) recorded five saves in the second half. Albertus Magnus netminder Brandon Scicchitano registered 14 saves in the complete-game effort.
