Men's Basketball: Paul Stukowski To Be Enshrined In New England Basketball Hall Of Fame

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Former Norwich University men's basketball standout Paul Stukowski (NU '68) will be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame, it was announced by the organization on Monday (August 24).

Stukowski will be formerly inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame at a banquet to be hosted at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn., on Friday, Oct. 9. Tickets to the banquet, which is slated to begin at 7 p.m., are on sale for $125 per person.

On Saturday, Oct. 10, a special brunch will be held at the Mohegan Sun Casino beginning at 9:30 a.m. Tickets for the brunch are on sale for $40 per person.

Stukowski was inducted into the Norwich University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1988. He produced an outstanding career while a member of the Cadets. During his senior season of 1967-68, Stukowski was named to the Associated Press All-New England third team. He averaged 26.7 ppg., during his senior season when he was named to the ECAC Division III first team.

He was also selected as the Vermont "Athlete of the Month" for February 1968. Stukowski was a four-year member of the Norwich basketball team. During his sophomore season of 1965-66, he scored 40 points in NU's 83-76 victory against Hamilton.

As a senior in high school, Stukowski helped St. Mary's H.S. to the 1964 New England championship.
