Baseball: Cadets Drop Final Game in Arizona, 17-2, to Wis.-Superior

Tucson, Ariz.-T.J. Evanson went 3-for-4 with two home runs, seven RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Wisconsin-Superior baseball team past Norwich University 17-2 Saturday, March 17, at the Kino Sports Complex. The game wrapped up Norwich's spring trip to Arizona.  

Graham Miller (1-0) pitched six innings of shutout ball for the Yellow Jackets, giving up only two hits and striking out six. Jeff Miller added a 3-for-3 performance for WSU (2-2), hitting a double, driving in four runs and scoring three.

Senior third baseman Corey Shearer (Montague, Mass./Turner Falls) had a two-out double down the leftfield line to pace the Cadets' (0-7) offense. Shearer and freshman outfielder Scott Yashinski later scored the team's only runs on a error by the third baseman on a hard hit ball by junior second baseman J.J. Losco (Wakefield, Mass./Wakefield).

Craig Leverone (0-1) took the loss for NU.
