2010: Started 34 games in the infield in sophomore campaign ... third on the team in hits (29), slugging percentage (.495), doubles (nine) and total bases (49) ... tied for third in batting average (.293), walks (13) and homeruns (one) ... tied for first in triples with four ... second on the team with four steals on five attempts ...  fourth in on-base percentage (.375), runs scored (19) and RBIs (13) ... was fourth on the team with 71 putouts while ranking second in chances (132) ... also ranked second in assists with 48.

2009: Saw action in 23 games as a freshman, making 19 starts ... batted .217 over 60 at-bats ... seventh on the team with 13 hits ... tied for fourth with four doubles ... ranked fifth with eight walks ... went three-for-three on steal attempts, tied for second-most on the team ... ranked third on the team in assists (47) ... had a .760 fielding persentage in 100 chances.

BEFORE NORWICH: Played four years of varsity baseball at Randolph Union High School ... named first team all-state in both 2007 and 2008 ... also was a four-year letterwinner in wrestling and a three-year member of the varsity soccer squad ... was second team all-state for soccer in 2008 ... recorded 100 wins in his high school wrestling career ... played summer baseball with the American Legion Post 3 (Montpelier, Vt.). 

PERSONAL: Son of Brent and Penny Maxfield ... has a brother, Ryan, and a sister, Sirenna Capperell ... majoring in Criminal Justice.
